Projects of West Bengal Government ::
In every country the progress of society depends on the efficiency of Government.Government must keep in mind all the public discomfort and needs ; and focusing on all that they must have to implement the Projects of West Bengal Government necessary projects on right time. It could be said that the West Bengal government has always been careful about this matter. Students , women , Labour community and People who are economically backward in the society all have come under various projects and received helps they need. Some of regarding are discussed :
1. KANYASREE PROJECT ::
Kanyashree Prakalpa has been designed to ensure that girls stay in school and delay their marriages till at least age of 18. Kanyashree's strategy is simple, keeping girls away from marriage till exact age and keeping them in the streamline of their education, to do that government facilitates these girls with financial aid. Kanyashree is mainly an initiative taken by the Government of West Bengal to improve the life and the status of the girls by helping economically backward families with cash 25000 so that families do not arrange the marriage of their girl child before eighteen years because of economic problem.

To ensure an equity focus, the scheme is open only to girls from families whose annual income is Rs. 1,20,000/- or less. Or for girls with special needs, girls who have lost both parents, as well as for girls currently residing in Juvenile Justice homes, this criterion is waived. Although the annual scholarship is payable only when girls reach Class VIII, this, criterion is waived for girls with special needs whose disability is 40% or more. But recently the bar of income is withdrawn by Gov. W.B. now every girl can apply for that scheme.
On June 2017 United Nations honours Kanyashree with the highest public service award.14 August is celebrated as Kanyashree Day to promote the scheme throughout the state. West Bengal is setting up Kanyashree University in Nadia district and Kanyashree colleges across the state so as to empower girls. The Kanyashree university would be only for women.
2. RUPASREE PROJECT::
Rupashree Prakalpa is a West Bengal state government's initiative that provides a one-time financial grant of Rs. 25,000 for economically stressed families at the time of their adult daughters’ marriage.
Scope of the scheme ::
Rupashree Prakalpa is in effect from 01 April, 2018 and will be applicable for all marriages effected from 01 April, 2018. The scheme is implemented in all districts of West Bengal.
Eligibility Criteria ::
This scheme shall apply to any woman who proposes to be married if her application satisfies the following criteria.
• The applicant has attained the age of 18 years
• She is unmarried on the date of submitting her application.
• The proposed marriage is her first marriage.
• She was born in West Bengal OR she has been a resident of West Bengal for the last 5 years OR her parents are permanent residents of West Bengal.
• Her family income is not greater than Rs. 1.50 lakhs per annum.
• Her prospective groom has attained the age of 21 years.
• She has an active bank account for which she is the sole account-holder. The bank account must be in a bank that has an IFS Code and an MICR code and transacts e-payments though NEFT .
Hon’ble Finance Minister if WB, in his Budget Speech of 2015-2016, announced a scheme for distribution of bicycles to an estimated 40 lakh students studying in classes IX to XII in Government and Government Aided Schools and Madrasahs of the State.
By now, this scheme is well-known as “Sabooj Sathi” as coined by Hon’ble Chief Minister herself and it reflects her desire to see young students empowered to achieve new feats in the future through the bicycles provided under the scheme. She also created the scheme logo which is firmly attached in the basket in front of the bicycle.
Objective ::
The scheme was conceived with the primary objective of enhancing student access to Secondary Education. The scheme is further expected-
● To increase retention in schools.
●To encourage students to take up higher studies
●To inculcate sense of confidence among the girl students by promoting mobility,
To promote environment-friendly and healthy means of transportation.
The scheme will offer benefit for both boy and girl students irrespective of their caste, religion or locality within the state of West Bengal. This project will be very profitable for all educators, basically the students of the remote rural areas, especially the girls, especially the girls who had to come to school in a distant legend, would be benefited by this project.
4. UTKARSH BANGLA ::
prominent scheme of WB govt for skill development has won the prestigious World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), that is Utkarsh Bangla.
Utkarsh Bangla scheme was launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister on 16th February, 2016 for the entire Skill Development interventions to provide wage/self-employment linked skills training to the resident of the state of West Bengal.
Major objectives under the Scheme are :
To give vocational training to school drop outs/unemployed youth by providing training ranging from 100 to 1500 Hours free of charge.
Utkarsh Bangla covers a wide range of industries and sectors such as Agriculture, Apparel, Automotive, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance, Beauty and Wellness, Construction, Electronics and Hardware, Gems & Jewellery, IT & ITeS, Leather, Handicrafts, Plumbing, Power, Telecom, Tourism & Hospitality amongst many others. You may know about the different sectors covered under the Utkarsh Bangla Project Mode by exploring the sectors .
Recruitment of candidates will happen for candidates who have successfully completed the training programmes. In order to facilitate placements, job fairs at the state, district, sub-division and block level may be held. Also there may be permanent placement cell at State and all District levels.
One of the core purposes of Utkarsh Bangla is to aid in poverty alleviation through adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families. Hence, the candidates should be offered regular paying jobs with a minimum salary to sustain livelihood and other basic needs.
5. DIDI KE BOLO ::
is an initiative started by the All India Trinamool Congress, that provides a platform for the people of West Bengal to directly lodge concerns or complaints to the Trinamool chairperson and state chief minister Mamata Banerjee. As of 13 August 2019,
